One bodega, one wine, one Brand

We’ve been in the wine business in La Rioja for 28 years.  Having worked for years in a century-old bodega (winery), we joined our two surnames Valentín and Enciso, to found this bodega in 1998.  With a lot of hard work, patience, dedication and love, we have made our dream come true.

THE BODEGA

We can be found in Ollauri, a pretty village 4 km from Haro, in the north of the Rioja Alta, an area renowned for its wine-making since the 19th century. Touches of an Atlantic climate which lessens the summer heat, coupled with the poor quality (and hence ideal for grape growing) limestone and clay soil, are what separates Rioja Alta from the rest of La Rioja.

Our entry gate is a Juanjo Novella sculpture inspired by the veins in a vine-leaf. The bodega building, designed by the architect Alfonso Samaniego, is a combination of traditional materials and straight lines with modern and spacious shapes. It should be seen.

THE BODEGA

We adhere to the same school of thought as the great wines of the world, and continue to use concrete tanks, which have the advantages of making lively and long-lasting wines. Naturally we use a modern temperature control system and other equipment made from stainless-steel.

Only French oak barrels are used, and after over 25 years we are among the most experienced winemakers in their use. We prefer French oak for the elegance, complexity and longevity it gives to wine.
